Trouble Kelp is a minor character in the Artemis Fowl series, and appears in all the books apart from The Lost Colony. He is said to be the LEP's most gung-ho officer.

Kelp is introduced in the first Artemis Fowl book as LEPretrieval One's commander. His rank through the first three books is Captain, but sometime between The Eternity Code and The Opal Deception, he is promoted to Major. In The Time Paradox, Trouble has been promoted to LEP Commander.

Trouble is an elf, but not much is known about what he looks like. Butler describes him as 'the bulky one at two o'clock' during the events of the first book. Trouble's younger brother, Grub, often calls him 'Trub,' 'Trubs,' or 'Troub,'' and at one point during the goblin uprising, Trouble is unsure who annoys him more- his kid brother or the goblins.
