Mulch Diggums is a kleptomaniac dwarf, who decided early on that mining was not for him, and resolved to put his 'talents' to other uses. Mulch forfeited his magic long ago by entering human dwellings without permission. He has been convicted several times for Digging and Entering. Like all dwarfs, Mulch is afraid of fire, which isn't a good thing when he is put in a holding cell with a group of goblins- who can conjure fire in their palms. He has a cousin called Nord.

Mulch has spent the last three hundred years in and out of prison. Julius Root was his arresting officer eight times.
