Captain Holly Short of the Lower Elements Police Reconnaissance Unit is the first female- ever- to become a Recon officer. However, this makes her job very hard. Sexism is alive and well in the LEP, and her boss has always been a bit on the sexist side. It doesn't help when she gets kidnapped by a certain 12-year-old criminal mastermind.

Holly is an elf with nut-brown skin, an auburn crew cut, and different colored eyes: one blue and one hazel. She used to have hazel eyes until the journey back from Limbo when she switched eyes with Artemis. Her nose has a hook, and her mouth is plump and cherubic, as Cupid is her great-grandfather. Holly has a slim figure and 'long tapered fingers, perfect for wrapping around a buzz baton. Holly's ears are, of course, pointed. Standing at exactly three feet tall, Holly is one centimeter below the average fairy height, but when you don't have many to spare, even one centimeter can make an awful lot of difference.
