Ender'sShadow Graphic Novel Review 13 Jan 4 2009, 3:28 PM EST by ArtemisFowlTheSecond

I am concerned about the giant bodyguard, Domivoi Butler. I expected him to be around 6′ 5″ with short brown crew cut and a normal neck. In the graphic novel, his neck is bulging profusely from the suit of his jacket threatening to tear what must be a expensive designer suit.
Another character’s artwork that got my attention is the robber Mulch Diggims, also called the Grouch. My idea of him is that he looks kind of like of the Seven Dwarfs, with a closer cut beard and rectangular teeth. In the graphic novel he looks more like the character Mole, from the movie Atlantis.
A third character that has got my attention is Commander Julius Root. I had expected the elves to look more human. Instead, Root looks more a like a crime boss, and I don't mean Jon Spiro. I mean the alien crime boss from Space Jams. They both have a putrid cigar and satilitte ears.
The trolls artwork had me totally petrified. I thought tha the troll would look more like a very, very large human mixed with a panther for the the long claws, and a wild boar with the tusks sticking out of the side of the mouth. But instead, the troll is green with sickly, green tusks coming from it’s chin, not the sides of the mouth. I was not scared. I was repulsed.
Another character freaked me out, the paranoid centuar Foaly. I expected him to look more like the centuars from the Chronicles of Narnia. In the graphic novel Foaly looks more part green ape and horse than part human and horse.
The goblin artwork also concerned me. I expected them to look more human with long noses and snake skin, but instead they look like minurature dragons.
I also have some issues with the LEP equipment. The helmet, unlike in the Artemis Fowl Files, are low tech for what was described. The wings are also way to big.
Also, Holly Short’s eyes are green instead of hazel, which is mentioned in the 5th book, and that Artemis looks like he’s wearing eyeliner and mascara.
